Our client is seeking an Investment Analyst to join their small and focused team. This role is integral to various aspects of the investment function, which includes research, record keeping, trading, and operations. The core focus will be on supporting investment research and asset allocation routines, procedures, projects, and meetings. In addition, there will be an opportunity to assist in building process automation through the use of AI and other tools.

This position offers a chance to rotate through multiple functions within the team, appealing to individuals who possess relevant experience or a keen aptitude for this type of work. The successful candidate will begin as soon as possible, with opportunities for growth and development within the team.

Job Duties
  • Conduct investment research independently and as directed by senior investment colleagues
  • Administer investment workgroup meetings, including recording meeting notes and action points
  • Participate in fund manager meetings and conferences, ensuring the wider team is kept informed
  • Maintain and update asset allocation records and other key investment files
  • Prepare and distribute weekly performance data for review meetings
  • Collate, summarise, and distribute investment workgroup notes, action points, and scorecards
  • Summarise key weekly investment research notes and trading activity
  • Involve oneself in client reporting routines
  • Support trading activity and assist the trading and operations functions as appropriate
  • Work with AI and other tools to automate and streamline team activities
Job Requirements
  • A keen interest in financial markets and/or investing
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills alongside a solid aptitude for utilising new technology, including AI tools
  • Excellent organisational abilities and a good work ethic
  • A proactive self-starter' with initiative and adaptability
  • Proficiency across the suite of MS Office products, particularly Excel
  • Hold a level 4 investment qualification, or be prepared to study to achieve this
