Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant £300 a day through an umbrella company (3-6 months) Cardiff My client is a multi national media company and are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their Finance Operations team Financial Operations provides professional financial support to a range of stakeholders as part of the Finance function. Duties:
Manage end-to-end intercompany accounting processes, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and resolution of discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies. Oversee intercompany cash settlement activities, ensuring timely execution of payments, receipts, netting cycles, and alignment with treasury requirements. Review balance sheet reconciliations supported by appropriate testing, ensuring full compliance with internal controls and our minimum expected requirements, with fully evidenced and substantiated balances.

Prioritise and manage workload effectively, balancing recurring deadlines with ad-hoc requests to deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines. Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders including our outsourced partner, other finance teams, divisional and group stakeholders where appropriate. Support the efficient delivery of internal and external audits. Requirements:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting expertise Proven experience in Balance Sheet reconciliations, with the ability to identify issues, investigate variances, and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage, and deliver a varied workload within tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs. Effective communicator able to collaborate confidently with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and wider business teams.

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to robust financial controls and governance. Experience working within a Finance Operations or Shared Services environment, ideally in a medium-to-large organisation. Strong Excel Knowledge of SAP an advantage
