Salary & Working Hours
Starting salary £41,992 with progression to £45,089 through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance). 37 hours per week (hybrid working).
OverviewIn this generalist HR Business Partner role, you’ll support the provision of a professional and comprehensive Human Resources service to meet the strategic aims and objectives of the Council.
Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance to managers on matters related to resourcing, employee relations, retention, employee engagement, and wellbeing.
- Produce reports and analyse key HR data for management, committees, and external bodies.
- Manipulate databases with accuracy and generate insights to identify trends supporting organisational development.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of policies, templates, and procedures to ensure the HR service responds to legislative and technical changes.
- Maintain up‑to‑date policies and procedures in line with statutory requirements.
- Experience of and understanding of local government services and employee pay, terms, and conditions is ideal; other similar experience will be considered.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification.
- Significant experience advising managers on complex employee relations matters and a sound understanding of employment law and the statutory local government service environment.
- Excellent communicator, highly organised, able to manage a varied workload to high standards and tight deadlines, and work as part of a small team.
- Ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
