System Engineer - Infrastructure and Storage

Our Client is one of the largest TV providers in North America. We are looking for VMWare Administrator to maintain security, performance monitoring, Installing, configuring, securing, managing, and monitoring VMware vSphere ESXi clusters in multiple data centers.

• Installation, configuration, maintenance, tuning and troubleshooting of VMware environment running on vSphere 6.5, 6.7, 7, 8.
• Installation of ESXi Host and vCenter Server
• Upgrading ESXi
• Responsible for ESXi Host Server Health Check and Performance Monitoring
• Experience working with VCF, vCenter, vSphere, vROPs
  - Upgrade VM Tools and VM Hardware versions
  - Monitor and remediate security compliance results from tool like Nessus/Tenable
  - Perform VMware crash/error analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Coordinate Post Problem Analysis and Trend Analysis
  - Basic Linux administration
  - On-call support

• Operating System Proficiency, including Linux (primarily RHEL and Rocky)
• Server Hardware Management
• Virtualization, especially VMware
• Network Management, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
• Security, including best practices, patch management, vulnerability assessments
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting

• Managing backups
• Dell Server Hardware
• Power Shell
• Python
• Storage Platforms such as EMC, Netapp, Isilon, etc.
• Storage Protocols, including iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS
• Storage Virtualization
• Storage Security, including access controls and encryption data at rest
