Purchasing Manager Our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement, strengthen supplier relationships and deliver commercial value within a growing manufacturing business. This is an opportunity to shape purchasing strategy, develop people and improve how materials are sourced and managed. Key responsibilities Lead procurement to ensure materials meet cost, quality and delivery requirements. Negotiate pricing, contracts and supply agreements with key suppliers.

Manage supplier performance, supply chain risks and inventory levels. Monitor market trends, steel pricing and import requirements to inform purchasing decisions. Develop the purchasing team and support the implementation and optimisation of a new MRP system. About you Youll bring proven procurement experience within steel, metals, fabrication, construction, manufacturing or a related industrial environment, alongside strong negotiation and commercial skills.

Experience leading purchasing teams, managing strategic suppliers and using market intelligence is essential, together with a good understanding of steel markets, tariffs and duties.
