Cleaning Operative, Cleaning Services

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at Fairhill Shopping Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the Shopping Centre, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike.

This role is 16 hours per week although additional hours can be available on occasions if required.

• Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, windows, and fixtures
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely
• Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
• Restock cleaning supplies and materials as needed
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all assigned areas
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
• Interact courteously with clients and staff, providing excellent customer service where required

• Previous experience in cleaning or similar roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Good customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients and visitors
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods
