Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer – Ballymena

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer to join a growing manufacturing organisation at its modern production facility in Ballymena. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in driving lean manufacturing, supporting new product introduction, and improving production efficiency across operations.

• Hands-on role focused on lean manufacturing and process optimisation
• Strong involvement in new product introduction and factory layout design
• Opportunity to lead impactful improvement projects in a fast-paced environment

• Analyse manufacturing systems to identify inefficiencies and implement waste and cost reduction initiatives
• Support operational teams in deploying lean tools and continuous improvement activities across production and support functions
• Coordinate the transition of new product designs from concept through to full-scale manufacturing
• Lead Design for Manufacture activities, maintaining and resolving product-based manufacturing issue logs
• Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including assessment of manpower, materials, equipment, and layout requirements
• Design and optimise workshop and factory layouts to improve space utilisation, workflow, and safety
• Provide daily hands-on technical support and problem-solving on the production floor
• Design and oversee the development of jigs, fixtures, templates, and other manufacturing tooling
• Develop and sustain efficient workflows to support scalable and flexible manufacturing operations

• Third-level qualification in an Engineering related subject
• 5+ years  experience in a manufacturing engineering role
• Strong background in production line problem-solving and root cause analysis
• Experience leading engineering or continuous improvement projects
