Batching Operative

We are recruiting for a Batching Operative to join our team based in Ballymena on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will operate the computer-controlled batching plant, ensuring concrete is produced safely, efficiently and to the required specification.

Hours of Work

• Monday Friday, 40 hours per week
• No nights or evenings or weekends
• 7am4pm or 8am5pm (to be confirmed)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the batching plant safely and efficiently.
• Ensure concrete meets required specifications and quality standards.
• Complete pre-use and pre-start checks and report any issues.
• Maintain clean and well-maintained equipment, including end-of-shift washdown.
• Work effectively as part of a team and meet production deadlines.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Criteria

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a busy factory environment.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Understanding of workplace health & safety and COSHH.
• Willingness to develop skills in required testing procedures.

Desirable Criteria

• Knowledge of quality assurance or lean manufacturing.
• Experience in concrete, chemical or production environments.
