Production Shift Supervisor

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading beverage manufacturing business seeking to appoint a Production Shift Supervisor to join their operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing supervisor with a strong mechanical aptitude to support the Production Shift Manager in delivering safe, efficient and high-performing shift operations within a fast-paced, automated production environment. Salary: £37,000 - £41,000 Permanent, full-time position Rotational shift pattern including days, nights and weekends Company pension scheme Death in service benefit Westfield Health Cashback Plan and discounts AXA home and car insurance discounts Employee Assistance Programme Free onsite car parking Tailored training and development plans Full uniform provided Additional holiday hours accrued with length of service Key responsibilities Leading, training and supporting your team to maximise performance Monitoring line performance and implementing corrective actions where required Ensuring adherence to SOPs and operational best practice Maintaining high standards of health and safety and challenging unsafe behaviours Conducting quality checks including filling levels, cap integrity and cleanliness Completing production logs, maintenance reports and checklists Supporting problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives Working closely with the Production Shift Manager and wider teams to resolve operational issues What you'll need to succeed Previous supervisory experience with strong organisational, planning and time management skills Proven experience meeting challenging deadlines within a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably within the beverage industry Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of filling machinery and automated production systems Ability to troubleshoot issues and minimise production downtime, including basic maintenance and mechanical breakdowns Strong understanding of quality control and regulatory standards In-depth knowledge of health and safety within a manufacturing environment Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team Flexibility to work rotational shifts including days, nights and weekends, with overtime when required Get in touch:
