We are currently recruiting two experienced Cooks for immediate starts within the Ballymena area. These roles are based at:

• Braid Valley Medical Centre – 8am to 2pm
• Wilson House – 8.30am to 2.30pm

Both positions are 30 hours per week
, working Monday to Friday
. The rate of pay is Band 3, £12.75 per hour. These are temporary posts for an initial period of 3 months, with the potential for extension based on service needs and performance. The main duties of the positions may include:

• Prepare, cook, and bake in accordance with standardised recipes, agreed menus, and portion control guidelines.
• Cater for specific dietary requirements.
• Support special functions and additional catering requirements as required.
• Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and stored in line with strict food hygiene regulations.
• Maintain accurate temperature records for food, cold rooms, refrigerators, and freezer units in compliance with food safety legislation.
• Follow HACCP procedures, Food Safety regulations, and Health & Safety policies at all times.
• Assist with stock control, ordering support, stock rotation, and minimising food waste.
• Report equipment faults, maintenance issues, or concerns regarding food quality.

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in an industrial or commercial cooking environment, including baking.
• Willingness to complete an Enhanced Access NI check (£32 fee applies).
• Ability to complete 1 day of mandatory online training (held every Wednesday prior to commencement).
