Tesco Colleague Nights Superstore

Availability Window

Each day of the week from 23:00 to 08:00.

Our Tesco colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 per hour. For all hours worked between midnight and 06:00 you will receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

• Serving shoppers and helping them everyday.
• Working across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
• Putting into practice the training you have received, ensuring safe and effective operations.
• Making decisions that are right for customers and delivering routines in store that meet the needs of customers at the right time.
• Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
• Being a brand ambassador by being on time, well presented and ready to represent the store.
• Taking part in seasonal, community and charity events and creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
• Being objective of your store's performance and driving service and sales, reducing waste and shrink, and delivering profit.
• Handling deliveries into the store when required.

• Age over 18.
• Experience in customer service or a cashier or grocery store environment provided.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
• Team player and works well within a team and communicates openly with others.
• Take initiative and make decisions that are right for customers.
• Be punctual, well presented, and a brand ambassador.
• Understanding of business responsibilities and relationship with sales and profit.

It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too.

We can only accept candidates over the age of 18 if the role requires working before 06:15 or after 21:45 or involves roles such as the warehouse, beers, wines and spirits, counter, bakery, and driving.
