An excellent opportunity has presented itself to join our client as their Retail Store Manager. We are actively recruiting for a Retail Store Manager to join the management team, reporting to the Area Manager.

• Maximise store profitability by optimising sales opportunities and managing costs.
• Manage day-to-day store operations and deliver excellent customer service through staff training and leading by example.
• Increase Store Profitability & Sales: monitor performance daily, weekly and monthly, provide reports to area managers, review performance, and suggest actions to increase sales.
• Utilise KPIs to enhance store performance and sales.
• Assess store performance related to customer footfall, conversion and average spend.
• Display initiative in product placement and prioritise concessions.
• Review margins and sales per square foot to maximise profit.
• Drive new business development.
• Ensure staff are aware of and striving to meet sales targets; train staff in visual merchandising.
• Ensure store layout reflects company guidelines and supports customer flow and opportunities.
• Maintain costs in line with budget and proactively plan to maximise available resources.

• Customer Service: maintain high customer awareness and interaction, seek continuous improvement in service levels, and develop product knowledge.
• Ensure optimum stock levels, handle deliveries promptly, and maintain regular stock replenishment.
• Create rosters with adequate staffing on each shift within budget.

• Recruit staff as authorised by the Area Manager within budget and to meet commercial needs.
• Onboard and induct new staff in line with company expectations.
• Train and develop the team, coaching individuals to reach their potential.
• Monitor and appraise individuals according to company procedures, identifying those with development potential.
• Monitor staff performance, behaviour and appearance; undertake counselling or disciplinary actions as appropriate.
• Set and implement clear work objectives to deploy the team effectively for branch benefit.
• Maintain and nurture successful business relationships.

• Ensure all branch administration is completed according to company procedures, including cash management and stock control.
• Fulfil obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and store policies to maintain a safe working/shopping environment.

• Previous experience as a retail supervisor/manager, preferably within fashion; other industries (e.g., hospitality, business) considered.
• Experience managing teams of up to 25 staff.
• Confident in leading a team and driving performance to the best of their ability.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Experience managing budgets, increasing sales and profitability.
• Ability to meet KPI targets and exceed sales goals.
• Flexible to work weekends and longer shifts when required.
• Contracted 39 hours per week with shift flexibility.
• Proficient in administration, reporting and health & safety.
• Experience recruiting, onboarding, training and developing staff.
