Overview

Responsible for expanding Motorola Solutions' fixed video sales through our direct business, this team is focused on accelerating our government fixed video solutions business in the UK and Ireland.

Role Overview

The End User Video Account Executive will primarily work remotely but is expected to travel across the United Kingdom and occasionally internationally. The role includes promoting and selling MSI’s products and services to Government accounts, creating demand, nurturing sales opportunities, forecasting, preparing proposals, conducting market research, and providing first‑level technical guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell MSI’s products and services to Government accounts through direct contact or via partners within the assigned geographic territory.
  • Create demand in the Government space for MSI Video Security solutions.
  • Develop and nurture sales opportunities to close sales orders.
  • Provide weekly and quarterly forecasting and reporting on direct and partner pipelines.
  • Prepare proposals and quotes, and ensure pricing is within published price pages unless approved for discounts.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify new markets, trends, and revenue potential.
  • Conduct sales calls and schedule local promotional work.
  • Track sales activities using MSI’s  lead and project tracking software.
  • Prepare business plans for rollout of product sets from newly acquired companies.
  • Provide first‑level technical guidance to customers, integrators, and partners.
  • Communicate end‑user requirements internally to engineering and operations to support product improvements.
  • Deliver reporting to product management on new products as they enter the market.
  • Supervise and manage the Government Video business across the portfolio.
  • Identify key Video Security market influencers and demonstrate product advantages.
  • Manage distributors, integrators, and partners to drive opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Maintain and manage sales pipelines to ensure business opportunity creation.
  • Create demand from assigned accounts and work toward achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals.
  • Compile data on alternative product offerings and pricing, reporting it back to head office.
Essential Functions
  • Manage the Government Video business portfolio.
  • Establish and demonstrate product advantages to key industry influencers.
  • Drive new customer acquisition and increase video sales in the region.
  • Manage partner networks and ensure opportunity progression.
  • Ensure pipeline health and proper business opportunity management.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and maintain regular reporting.
Basic Requirements
  • 3–5 years of government sales experience (preferred).
  • Video security sales experience is a plus.
  • Track record of meeting and/or exceeding financial targets.
  • Experience building and managing a sales pipeline, with accurate forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing distribution or partner networks (preferred).
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple business units to achieve common objectives.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English language.
  • Up to 30% travel across the United Kingdom & Ireland, with occasional international travel.
Travel Requirements

Frequent travel to the United Kingdom & Ireland; up to 30% travel required. Occasional travel to other countries may be required.
