Meat Sales Specialist

VANRATH is working with a well established, award-winning meat processor and wholesaler on the appointment of an Area Sales Manager. This is a newly created role driven by continued growth, offering a strong basic salary and the chance to build and grow a territory for a premium local producer. Selling a broad range of quality meat products, you will manage and grow sales across wholesale, independent butchers and backdoor supermarket accounts.

It will suit a driven field sales professional who knows the trade, enjoys being out in front of customers and can turn relationships into repeat business. Permanent, full time Field based across the territory £50,000 to £70,000 basic salary, depending on experience Mileage covered

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

Manage and grow sales across wholesale, independent butcher and backdoor supermarket accounts Win new business and open up new customers across the territory Build strong, lasting relationships with buyers and key accounts Carry out regular customer visits, promoting the full product range Identify opportunities to grow spend and range across existing accounts Negotiate commercial terms and maximise revenue Keep on top of market trends, competitor activity and pricing Work closely with the internal team to keep service and delivery on point Manage your own diary, pipeline and territory effectively

The Ideal Candidate Proven field sales or area sales experience, ideally within meat, food, food service or FMCG Track record of growing sales and winning new business across a territory Strong knowledge of the wholesale, butcher and/or retail supply trade Confident building relationships and negotiating at buyer level Self-motivated and comfortable running your own patch Commercially sharp with sound negotiation skills Full driving licence What is on Offer Strong basic salary of £50,000 to £70,000 Newly created role driven by genuine growth Mileage covered Established, award-winning local producer with a strong reputation
