If you are an experienced Court Social Worker looking for a contract where professional judgement is trusted and caseloads are manageable, this role offers a stable 6 month rolling contract within a well-run local authority in the South West . This service uses a structured, evidence-based approach to court work and family safeguarding, with managers who are visible, supportive, and realistic about the pressures of proceedings. Flexibility is genuinely encouraged, with autonomy over how you manage your working week while maintaining a team presence when needed.

• £42 per hour.

• Manage a court-focused caseload involving care proceedings and pre-proceedings work.
• Complete high-quality assessments, statements, and care plans for court.
• Represent the local authority confidently in court and multi-agency forums.
• Work collaboratively with families and professionals to achieve safe outcomes for children.

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Recent experience undertaking statutory court work within children’s services..
• Confident working within care proceedings and associated legal frameworks.
