Tech Lead, Software Engineer

Tech Lead (Full Stack) | Mostly Remote | Up to £80k

We’re working with a well established technology business whose software supports hundreds of thousands of users every day within a highly meaningful and people focused sector. Their platform is used at significant scale and they are continuing to invest heavily in modern engineering practices, product development, and long term platform evolution.

They are now looking for an experienced Full Stack Tech Lead to join one of their cross functional teams. This is a hands on leadership role with a strong focus on collaboration, mentoring, and technical delivery. You’ll still be writing production code daily while helping lead a small team of developers.

• Writing production code across the full stack, including backend services, frontend applications, databases, and infrastructure
• Leading and mentoring a small engineering team within a collaborative product environment
• Working closely with Product Owners, Designers, and QA to deliver scalable, maintainable software
• Driving engineering standards through code reviews, testing, pairing, and technical leadership
• Contributing to architectural decisions and long term platform improvements
• Supporting CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and Dev Ops practices across your team’s domain

• Strong software engineering background with experience across multiple technologies or object oriented languages
• Experience working across the full stack within production environments
• Experience leading technical delivery and mentoring developers within Agile teams
• Comfortable working with scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tooling
• A collaborative, pragmatic, and product minded approach to engineering

• Mostly remote with occasional travel - 1-2x a month
• Salary up to £80k DOE
