HGV Driver class 1

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all road regulations.

Experience with flatbed deliveries is preferred, as you will be handling diverse loads that may require special handling.

Duties

Operate a lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
Load and secure cargo, ensuring it is safely transported to designated locations.
Deliver goods on time.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Adhere to company policies regarding safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence with a category CE entitlement.
Up to date CPC and Digi Cards
Proven experience as a HGV driver min 1 year experience max 6 points
Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and road safety standards.
Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with local routes.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
A commitment to providing exceptional customer service while on delivery routes.
