Accounting Specialist – Construction/Distribution Industry

Overview:

A well-established distribution company is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team. This role focuses on high-volume accounts payable and billing within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or distribution accounting and be comfortable working on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process high-volume AP and billing transactions (300–400 invoices daily)
  • Assist with workload reduction and support process improvements under new leadership
  • Cross-train in other administrative areas as needed
  • Work within industry-specific accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

Qualifications:

  • Construction or distribution accounting experience required
  • Strong background in AP and billing
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor, E-term) a plus

Details:

  • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, on-site
  • Pay: $25/hour
  • Type: Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire
  • Location: Baltimore area (ample parking available)
