Accounting Manager

QMK Consulting seeks a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to support a fast-growing automotive dealership in Maryland. This role focuses on dealership accounting operations, customer account management from a financial perspective, and accurate coordination across sales, finance, and service departments. The ideal candidate is organized, precise, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage customer financial accounts, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with dealership and state regulations
• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Prepare and review daily sales reports, deal jackets, and related financial documentation
• Coordinate with sales and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely deal processing
• Assist with month‑end closing, bank reconciliations, and audit support
• Communicate with customers regarding balances, billing questions, and payment arrangements
• Support general accounting and administrative duties as needed

• Experience as an accounting clerk, bookkeeper, accounting associate, or similar role
• Automotive dealership experience is a strong plus, but not required
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel required)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
