Our client, a growing Real Estate investment / Financial Services firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting across a diverse portfolio. This role will partner closely with property management, asset management, and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for real estate entities
- Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Manage accounting for acquisitions, dispositions, and new entity setups
- Oversee fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure tracking
- Assist with cash management, intercompany transactions, and consolidations
- Support monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate reporting
- Assist with audit requests and coordinate with external auditors
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in Real Estate or Financial Services
- Public accounting and/or real estate industry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with property-level and entity-level accounting
- Proficiency with accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, or similar preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills
- CPA or CPA-track a plus
