Executive Recruiter | Accounting & Finance | Aligning Top Candidates with Top CompaniesLHH has partnered with a reputable defense contractor to add a Senior Analyst of Financial Reporting to their team. You will be responsible for preparting consolidated financial statements and SEC/regulatory filings.
Responsibilities- Prepare consolidated financial statements and internal management reports, including analysis and public earnings releases.
- Draft and coordinate quarterly and annual filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), such as Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and securities registration statements (e.g., S-3, S-4), as well as other regulatory filings as needed.
- Oversee the preparation of Inline XBRL reporting for SEC submissions.
- Liaise with independent auditors to support audit requests and ensure timely completion.
- Research and interpret technical accounting matters, implementing new accounting standards and regulatory requirements across business units.
- Advise business unit financial management on complex accounting issues.
- Develop and deliver internal presentations on accounting and financial reporting topics for senior management, audit committees, and boards of directors.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA strongly prefered.
- 5+ years experience with a major public accounting firm or a similar corporate environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and completeness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels and work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with financial consolidation and SEC reporting tools (such as One Stream and Workiva) is a plus.
- Familiarity with government contracting accounting issues is desirable.
