Tax Manager

Andrews & Cole, LLC is a dynamic, family‑friendly tax and accounting firm with nearly 25 years of practice, seeking a Tax Manager.

The Tax Manager will supervise the company's tax, compliance and bookkeeping practice and co‑manage the preparation of tax returns for individual, business and estate/trust clients.

• Help build a growing tax compliance and planning practice
• Review and supervise tax returns prepared by staff accountants
• Identify and assist clients with utilizing all appropriate adjustments, deductions and credits to minimize client tax liability in accordance with tax laws and regulations
• Review financial records such as income statements, balance sheets and supporting tax documentation to determine appropriate tax compliance
• Research tax laws and regulations to determine proper tax treatment for complex tax returns
• Prepare, review and analyze tax and accounting work papers

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• Current CPA license required
• 6-10 years of tax experience, including preparing and filing tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, corporations, partnerships and entities
• Commensurate supervisory experience
• Experience with payroll and bookkeeping
• Proficiency with Quick Books
• Knowledge of tax software
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction with clients
• Proactive and independent thinker
• Organized and able to handle a sizeable workload, prioritize assignments and pay skillful attention to detail
