Our nonprofit client is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support the organization's financial health and mission. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant ready to step into a leadership role or an Accounting Manager seeking meaningful, mission-driven work.

Reporting to senior finance leadership, this position will take ownership of month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting support, and staff supervision.

• Lead monthly and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
• Prepare financial statements and management reports
• Perform budget-to-actual and variance analysis
• Support annual audits and tax filing preparation
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial planning
• Partner with program and operational leaders on financial matters
• Supervise and mentor accounting support staff
• Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong month-end close and general ledger accounting experience
• Experience preparing financial statements
• Advanced Excel skills
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• Nonprofit, grant accounting, healthcare, education, association, or multi-entity accounting experience is highly desirable
• CPA is a plus but not required
