Mogul is seeking a systems-minded finance professional who is looking to further their growth as an accounting professional at a company with a portfolio scaling to billions of dollars of assets under management. You'll report directly to our Director of Accounting and Tax. We are growing our portfolio, and growing it fast: past 150+ properties and climbing.

As the Senior Accountant, you will prepare and maintain property accounting, the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, and partnership tax returns, plus special projects.

Location: This role is hybrid, based out of our Washington, DC or New York City office. You must be located within driving distance of one of the two offices, or willing to relocate.

• Property Accounting:
  Maintain the books for a growing number of single-asset LLCs and reconcile property management statements into the general ledger
• Close:
  Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and keep improving the close checklist
• Tax & Compliance:
  Prepare partnership tax returns (Form 1065 and K-1s), supporting work papers, and the recurring entity compliance filings
• Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping is ESSENTIAL. Real estate experience is a MAJOR value-add, and tax preparation experience is a plus. What is non-negotiable is the desire and ability to learn and grow in your role.
