PURPOSE: This role is primarily remote with occasional in‑office team meetings. Provides advanced expertise in developing and maintaining reports, dashboards and data repositories to meet the business intelligence requirements of the organization. Provides data, analysis and requirements in support of a complex reporting and analytics environment. Serves as a subject matter expert in projects related to the data analysis and reporting tools technology.

Functions
  • Fulfill complex regulatory reporting requirements by understanding the external request and working with IT and business resources to provide Care First data into mandated reporting within required timelines.
  • Develop client/customer presentations and reports with a high degree of complexity. May develop innovative best practices and industry benchmark methods for process measurement and identify indicators for future improvement opportunities.
  • Adjust rapidly to shifts in priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including staff support for current operations. Apply a depth of knowledge, skills, and abilities to research and conduct process analysis and studies.
  • Assist in facilitation of process improvement efforts and customer requirements, knowledge sharing/transfer, work‑group brainstorming, and focus group sessions. Attend functional meetings. Create briefings and focused customer presentations. Document customer requirements and business processes.
  • Use strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot and solve a variety of problems.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Provide direction to and lead technical teams effectively.
  • Meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, maintaining expectations for service excellence. Communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including challenging scenarios.
  • Serve as a mentor or resource to junior or senior level Reporting Analysts.
  • Translate business system processes and requirements into use‑case scenarios. Conduct analysis and provide expert counsel to clients in their respective business areas. May analyze business and technical processes to formulate, develop, and implement new and modified processes and policies.
Qualifications

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree an additional 4 years of relevant work experience.

Experience: 8 years reporting analysis and/or data management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Proven track record of converting data into meaningful analysis, presenting to business stakeholders, and driving value for compliance.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory processes, public policy analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare payer industry, insurance products, and regulation.
  • Knowledge of Care First operations, claims systems, and policies.
  • Microsoft Power BI and Power BI Report Builder.
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, Power Query).
  • PowerPoint (advanced executive presentations).
  • Understanding of data visualization best practices and storytelling with data.
  • Strong communication and data documentation skills.
  • Curiosity and problem‑solving mindset with attention to data quality and integrity.

$78,984 - $156,871
