Salary Range: $40,000 - $46,000 per year

Position Summary

The Lead Youth Development Coordinator plans, organizes, and implements programs and activities that empower members to make healthy decisions aligned with our priority outcomes:
Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership:
    Create an environment that promotes program participation for all club members, especially preteens and teens; provide guidance through supportive relationships; deliver quality program activities that foster purpose, empowerment, belonging, and fun.
  • Program Development and Implementation:
    Track member participation, document results, and monitor progress as needed. Regularly gather information and feedback from members about program needs and interests through formal or informal methods.
  • Supervision & Safety:
    Participate in weekly staff meetings, maintain club cleanliness and appearance, and work collaboratively as a team. Follow all safety policies and procedures, including conduct, supervision, health, transportation, field trips, and incident reporting.
  • Miscellaneous:
    Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience (Qualifications)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in youth development
  • Knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs; principles and practices of nonprofit organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate youth and manage behavior, plan and implement quality programs, and supervise members in a safe environment
  • Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications
  • Valid State Driver’s License
