Position: Teacher, Extended Care (NE) (Current Opportunity) - St. Casimir Catholic School, Baltimore MD
We are seeking a responsible and energetic After Care Assistant to support students in grades PreK3 through Grade 8 during the after-school hours. The ideal candidate will help supervise and engage students, ensuring their safety, well-being, and enjoyment until pick-up time. The role also involves assisting with snack time, coordinating age-appropriate activities, and maintaining a positive and structured environment for all students.

Essential Functions

• Supervise and engage students of varying ages (PreK3 - Grade
  8) in a safe and friendly manner.
• Organize and facilitate age-appropriate recreational activities such as arts and crafts, group games, homework assistance, or outdoor play.
• Assist with snack distribution and monitor children during snack time.
• Ensure students' emotional and physical needs are met.
• Communicate with parents or guardians at pick-up time, providing updates on their child's day.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to manage student behavior and provide support where needed.

Position Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a group setting (preferably in a school or daycare environment).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be patient, nurturing, and understanding.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Pay Range: $15, Hourly
