Estimator – Concrete Construction

Our client, a top-tier commercial concrete contractor recognized for delivering some of the D.C. area’s most complex and high-profile cast-in-place projects, is expanding its preconstruction team. With a robust pipeline of major commercial work and concrete packages valued up to $10M, this is an outstanding opportunity to step into a key estimating role where your expertise will directly influence project success and company growth.

• Lead estimating efforts for large-scale commercial developments including high-rise, mixed-use, healthcare, and institutional projects.
• Partner with operations, project management, and executive teams to provide constructability insight, cost-saving options, and risk analysis.
• Build and maintain relationships with GCs, developers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure fully scoped, competitive bids.
• Develop and refine internal estimating tools, templates, and workflows to improve team efficiency and accuracy.

• Prepare precise quantity takeoffs using industry software such as On-Screen Takeoff
  .
• Analyze project drawings and specifications to produce accurate labor, material, and equipment cost estimates.
• Solicit and review pricing from vendors and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Generate conceptual budgets and detailed estimates throughout various project phases.
• Produce clear, professional bid proposals outlining assumptions, inclusions, and exclusions.
• Coordinate closely with field and operations teams to ensure a smooth handoff post-award.

• Minimum 2 years of concrete estimating experience
  , ideally within large-scale commercial or structural concrete projects.
• Proven success managing complex cast-in-place concrete bids.
• Strong proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST),
  Microsoft Excel
  , and estimating software.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to assess risk, identify value opportunities, and deliver profitable outcomes.
