Commercial Roofing Project Manager Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Project Manager to oversee multiple roofing projects from pre-construction through to completion. The company is a recognized leader in delivering quality commercial roofing solutions across new builds, re-roofing, renovations, and ongoing maintenance. This role is ideal for a motivated and team-oriented professional with strong project leadership skills and proven experience in commercial roofing.

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing roofing projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Success in this role means effectively managing manpower, costs, schedules, and client relationships while ensuring compliance with safety policies and industry regulations. This position reports to senior operations leadership and works closely with estimating, subcontractors, and clients to achieve project goals.

• Prepare and manage project schedules, phasing plans, and manpower allocations.

• Control job costs through ECAC and WIP reviews to ensure financial performance.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and in-budget completion.

• Conduct site management including supervision of subcontractors and coordination of project activities.

• Participate in pre-construction and handoff meetings, and prepare purchase order requests.

• Perform plan/spec takeoffs for new and reroof projects.

• Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders regarding scheduling and progress.

• Ensure material inventory, oversee quality control, and coordinate final inspections.

• Complete project closeout documentation and assist estimating as needed.

• Uphold company safety policies, ensuring execution of site safety plans.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support repeat business.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial roofing.

• Background in project management and/or estimating within roofing or related commercial construction.

• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documentation.

• Knowledge of roofing systems, installation codes, and manufacturer warranty requirements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); project management software experience preferred.

• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

• Ability to work outdoors and perform site inspections, including climbing ladders and stairs.

• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.

• Team-oriented with a commitment to safety and company core values.

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting estimating on bid walks and service projects.

• Familiarity with inventory tracking and vendor coordination.
