We are a leading construction firm in the DC metro area, recognized for delivering large-scale, complex projects across sectors including institutional, commercial, residential, healthcare, and mixed‑use development. We’re seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to take charge of field operations on high‑profile projects. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can deliver excellence from start to finish.
Responsibilities- Lead day‑to‑day field operations, managing crews, subcontractors, and schedules.
- Ensure jobsite safety, compliance with regulations, and enforcement of company standards.
- Maintain and monitor project schedules and sequencing to keep work on track.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and vendors to achieve project goals.
- Oversee quality control, conducting site inspections, enforcing specifications, and resolving issues.
- Mentor and direct field staff and trade partners, fostering a strong team culture.
- Act as the primary on‑site representative, maintaining professional relationships with clients, designers, and inspectors.
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent with a general contractor or specialty contractor.
- Successful track record leading ground‑up, large‑scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and site utilities.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, manpower, and sequencing effectively.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training strongly preferred.
- Be a field leader on landmark projects that shape the DC region.
- Work with a team known for safety, quality, and execution.
