Crew Leader – American Contracting and Environmental Services
Pay RangeBase pay: $28.00/yr - $33.00/yr. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
Position PurposeCrew leaders may supervise up to 4 tradespeople or laborers. They are also expected to perform the work in addition to supervising employees associated with the tasks assigned. The majority of their tasks require physical labor in an outdoor environment on a construction site.
Essential Job Functions- Pipe Installation and Fabrication
:
Proficient working with various pipe types such as PVC, copper, ductile iron, and steel, cutting and fitting pipes using appropriate tools. Capable of installing and securing pipes according to precise specifications and safety standards. - Formwork and Concrete Carpentry
:
Skilled in constructing and assembling formwork for concrete structures such as slabs, pads and walls. Skilled in all other aspects of rough carpentry. - Blueprint Reading and Interpretation
:
Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to water/wastewater construction. - Inventory and Tool Management
:
Capable of assessing current material inventory and tool availability, ensuring that all necessary resources are on hand for project tasks. Communicates material and tool needs effectively to the superintendent to avoid delays. - Team Leadership and Communication
:
Strong leadership abilities to manage and motivate construction crews, coupled with effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
High school diploma or GED preferred. At least three (3) years of construction experience, with at least two (2) years specializing in a trade.

Physical RequirementsRegularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to stand for extended periods, use hands to touch, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms. Must lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, squat and bend over.
