Job Summary

Greenlight Networks is actively recruiting a Construction Coordinator that will be a part of our growing team responsible for new fiber network build, make‑ready, and construction change management. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that our activities serve to deliver on our mission statement—“Delivering the Best Internet Experience.” Job duties include oversight of construction and change requests, coordination of construction work with internal construction crews and contracted resources.

You will be responsible for preparing and assigning work schedules for internal and external construction crews, reporting on status updates, identifying, developing, and utilizing the available resources to maximize productivity and quality of work to meet business needs. This role is more than producing reports and standard schedules. We are looking for an individual who can gather data, address challenges, and affect the trajectory to ensure the desired outcome.

Functions
  • Analyze and review construction requests, assess risk and impact, create plans, define and sequence the tasks needed to accomplish the project, while establishing and maintaining schedules and resources for each task and workgroup.
  • Establish reports and provide status updates to management personnel.
  • Assign projects in the database system to contractors or stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Track and report deployment activity to the Construction Coordination Manager.
  • Manage and monitor contractors to ensure construction job intervals are met.
  • Identify alternative recommendations when project plans do not go as expected.
  • Perform project site visits as needed.
  • Review and approve material requests and contractor awards.
  • Support the Construction teams in the implementation of their build plans.
  • Communicate effectively in group and to a variety of intra- and interdepartmental individuals, as well as utility partners.

Skills and Abilities

Required
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in teams as well as independently.
  • Ability to organize and work under pressure with quick turnaround on results while juggling multiple tasks and issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
  • Previous experience supporting teams with a technical product ideal; telecommunications experience highly desirable.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify drivers and formulate action plans.
  • Ability to operate in a variety of online systems.
  • Strong service, problem‑solving, verbal, written communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with outside plant construction phases and terminology.
  • Proficient Microsoft skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn and use additional Greenlight Networks systems as needed.
Education and Experience
  • 3+ years of functional experience.
  • Telecommunications and/or supporting a technical service in a consumer‑driven business is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field is desired.
  • Prior experience building and managing contractors and construction schedules or ability to demonstrate relatable experiences.
Compensation

The salary range for this role is between $63,000 – $80,000. The actual salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
