A well-established commercial glazing and exterior construction contractor is looking to add an experienced Glazing Estimator to its team. The company specializes in commercial building-envelope projects and works with general contractors, developers, architects, and owners on a range of glazing and exterior construction projects.
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial glazing projects, reviewing plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, obtaining subcontractor and supplier pricing, and developing detailed proposals for submission. This role will work closely with project management, operations, vendors, and clients to ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project requirements.

- Prepare estimates and proposals for commercial glazing projects.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, bid documents, and addenda.
- Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs.
- Price storefront, curtain wall, window wall, entrances, glass, and related glazing systems.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify project scope, exclusions, inclusions, and potential risks.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and bid documentation.
- Communicate with general contractors, suppliers, architects, and internal teams throughout the bidding process.
- Assist with value engineering and alternative product/system pricing where appropriate.
- Support the transition of awarded projects from estimating to project management and operations.
- 3+ years of commercial glazing estimating experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial glazing systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Experience with quantity takeoffs and construction pricing.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
