Audio Visual Event Technician - Part-Time - Baltimore (Felts Point), MD
Employment type: Part time

Salary: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr (Base pay range). This range is provided by Five‑Star Audio Visual. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities- Assist with the day‑to‑day functions of the audiovisual office in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
- Set‑up, operate, and strike all audiovisual sets.
- Ensure maximum client service, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Contribute to effective management of day‑to‑day operations according to company procedures.
- Perform timely and accurate set‑up and strike of equipment for client functions.
- Continually increase audiovisual skills and knowledge.
- Maintain and cultivate positive public relations with Hotel account.
- Maintain positive employee relations, strong team‑player orientation, and communication standards.
- Effectively utilize the company's business software.
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self.
- Plan ahead and manage multiple projects.
- Analyze problems and find solutions.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
- Minimum of one year’s experience in the AV industry.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with AV set‑ups and strikes.
- Background in customer service or hospitality (required).
- Certification in AV technology or related courses (preferred).
- Knowledge of audio equipment: microphones, speakers, sound systems, channel mixers, etc.
- Knowledge of video equipment: LCD, LED, projectors, screens, monitors, etc.
- Knowledge of lighting equipment: GOBO, gels, up lighting, basic lighting kits, stage lighting, etc.
- Advanced computer skills on PC and Mac software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work long hours on feet.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work a varied schedule.
