We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Architect to join our team. This role involves leading the production of deliverable documents across various phases of a project, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the quality assurance of design documents. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of building codes, zoning, and planning regulations, and will work closely with clients and contractors throughout the design and construction process.
Responsibilities- Lead the production of deliverable documents through Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), Construction Documents (CD), and Construction Administration (CA) phases.
- Demonstrate strong technical leadership and document coordination.
- Ensure the quality assurance of design documents.
- Understand and apply building codes, zoning, and planning regulations.
- Supervise, direct, and mentor project staff.
- Collaborate directly with clients and contractors in all phases of design and construction.
- Facilitate coordination with the Project Designer and Project Manager to maintain the original design intent.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Experience in architecture, multifamily, senior living, multi-family/mixed-use, and large-scale commercial design.
- Strong skills in construction documentation and construction administration.
- Experience in AutoCAD.
- Degree in Architecture.
- Registered Architect.
- Excellent collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Sketch Up and Adobe Suite programs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to creating dynamic and engaging designs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in providing project leadership and documentation coordination.
- Ability to lead a team in developing design drawings, technical documentation, and construction administration phase documents.
The work environment consists of five studios with 75 employees based in Baltimore. The architect will have the opportunity to work across various projects and studios, including Housing (multifamily and senior living), Interiors, Graphics & Signage, Commercial, and International projects. The office is located on the 18th floor of the Class A office space, offering a panoramic view of the city.
The team enjoys an engaging work culture with exciting projects and recently renovated office spaces.
The pay range for this position is $36.00 – $50.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
