Medical Director of Newborn Services Department of Pediatrics - Division of Neonatology Med Star Harbor Hospital Baltimore, MD
The Department of Pediatrics at Med Star Harbor Hospital is seeking a Medical Director of Newborn Services for its Division of Neonatology. The candidate must be board certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and should be committed to maintaining and developing a program of excellence in clinical care for normal and moderately ill newborns. Strong interpersonal skills are essential; previous leadership experience is preferred but not required.
Med Star Harbor Hospital provides obstetric care and oversees over 1,000 deliveries annually. It has a level II Neonatal Care Unit to care for moderately ill term and preterm newborns.
The Medical Director will oversee clinical operations and coverage schedules, provide staff education including pediatric hospitalists and nurses, and develop, support, and participate in practice and quality improvement projects.
