Position: Radiation Oncologist-Thoracic - #Faculty

Position Summary

The Johns Hopkins Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences seeks an outstanding, clinically exemplary, academically-focused radiation oncologist specializing in thoracic cancers to join the Department of Radiation Oncology. This candidate will practice primarily at the Thoracic Center of Excellence at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Bayview Medical Center in East Baltimore. The Thoracic Center of Excellence is a unique environment where multi-disciplinary experts, including thoracic radiation oncology, thoracic medical oncology, thoracic surgery, and interventional Radiation Oncologist - Thoracicpulmonology, co-localize in a shared clinical space to provide exemplary patient-centered coordinated same-day care for our patients in combined clinics, and in multidisciplinary clinics with the support of social work, smoking cessation, and chaplaincy.

Research can combine clinical, physics, and/or biology-based interests, emphasizing innovative clinical trials. The successful candidate will work closely with the integrated clinical team at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the National Capital Region, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Qualifications

Requirements include an M.D. degree(s), A  board certification or eligibility, demonstrated clinical competency in Radiation Oncology, and a strong interest in the clinical care and research of lung cancer patients.

Salary

Salary: $250,000 - $500,000 per year
