Are you a board-certified Internal Medicine physician looking to make a meaningful impact? At the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) , we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our nation's veterans while advancing medical knowledge through research and education.

Your Role

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive inpatient care to veterans, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. This role offers a unique blend of clinical, academic, and potential research responsibilities in a highly respected medical center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver inpatient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of adult patients.
  • Manage complex medical conditions with evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and case discussions.
  • Supervise and mentor medical residents, interns, and students.
  • Maintain detailed patient records in compliance with VA policies.
  • Provide consultative services and ensure timely communication with primary care providers.
  • Engage in academic activities, including teaching and potential research opportunities.

We seek a passionate Internal Medicine physician who is committed to teaching and mentoring trainees. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience working in inpatient teaching teams.
