The Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine seeks a fellowship-trained
Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to join its growing
National Capital Region (NCR) practice. This full-time faculty position is available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience.
The successful candidate will provide the full spectrum of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with the opportunity to performmicrovascular head and neck reconstruction and build a thriving cosmetic facial plastic surgery practice in one of the nation’smost dynamic markets. The position includes an established referral base, dedicated operative (ASC and Hospital) and office-based procedural opportunities, and the resources of the Johns Hopkins Health System.
The surgeon will join a collaborative team of 10 fellowship-trainedotolaryngology faculty and participate in the education of Johns Hopkins residents and fellows. Robust opportunities exist for clinical and translational research through the extensive academic resources of Johns Hopkins.
In addition to opportunities at Johns Hopkins Hospital, the NCRpractice spans Bethesda, Maryland;
Washington, DC; and Arlington,Virginia, serving a large and diverse patient population. Theregion offers an exceptional quality of life with nationally ranked schools, vibrant cultural attractions, outstanding dining, and easy access to outdoor recreation.
The anticipated total compensation range is $250k-$650k+, depending on academic rank, experience, clinical effort, and productivity.
QualificationsQualified applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and fellowship trained in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. A commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and scholarship is expected.
Salary RangeThe referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may varyand will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
