Your role will be crucial in inspiring and leading young people on their martial arts journey. • Develop a comprehensive martial arts curriculum encompassing techniques, forms, self-defense, and the philosophy of martial arts.
• Deliver engaging and interactive instruction to youths with different skill levels, ensuring each student receives appropriate support and challenges.
• Lead students through physical conditioning, stretching, and strength-building exercises to improve martial arts skills and overall fitness levels.
• Assess student progress, offer constructive feedback, and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment by teaching and enforcing proper safety protocols and discipline.
• Coordinate events, demonstrations, belt tests, and competitions to showcase student progress and provide practical experience.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors, staff, and community partners to support program objectives and enhance the educational experience.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for students, cultivating a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Engage in community outreach and events to promote LTYC's programs and establish connections with local organizations and stakeholders.
• Pursue continuous professional growth and development opportunities in the field of martial arts education.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a certification or rank in a recognized martial arts discipline, with additional certifications in related fields such as fitness training and first aid being advantageous.
• Should have a minimum of 3 years of experience instructing martial arts to youth, with a preference for experience in a school or community-based environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in martial arts techniques, forms, and self-defense, along with a solid understanding of martial arts philosophy and ethics is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to effectively connect with and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
• Must possess demonstrated physical fitness and the ability to lead challenging physical training sessions.
• Creativity and innovation in teaching methods and curriculum design are highly valued.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and engage in effective collaboration with colleagues.
• A genuine passion for martial arts and a strong commitment to empowering youth through physical and mental discipline is a must. Compensation: $30 - $35 hourly
