CCBC is the college of choice for over 50,000 students and 200 businesses each year, offering a holistic learning environment. The part‑time adjunct Senior Programs Instructor teaches college‑level non‑credit courses to students 60+ covering art, computers, history, politics, culture, languages, and writing. These courses provide social and cultural enrichment with no homework or testing requirements. Classes are held during the day at Campuses in Catonsville, Dundalk, Essex, Owings Mills, and Hunt Valley, as well as senior centers and retirement communities throughout Baltimore County.
Courses are primarily in‑person with some Zoom options. Pay rates for non‑credit courses are commensurate with education. Applicants must provide a summary of what they would like to teach, the county area where they would be willing to work, and preferred teaching modality.
- Experience teaching and expert knowledge of the proposed topic.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Academic degrees or professional credentials in a related discipline preferred.
- Must be a subject matter expert.
- Computer proficiency preferred.
- Experience teaching or training in an adult setting preferred.
CCBC Part‑time benefits include retirement annuities, parking, sick and safe leave, and supplemental benefits listed below.
- Tax‑sheltered annuities – 403(b). Payroll salary reduction authorization is needed. The form is available on SharePoint.
- Roth 403(b) savings feature available to eligible employees; contributions can be made both pre‑tax and post‑tax.
- Deferred compensation plan – 457(b) offered through VOYA Financial Advisors; salary reduction authorization form is required.
Free. Must obtain a parking permit from the Department of Public Safety to use on all campuses.
