Abel Communications is seeking an Account Manager who turns ideas into measurable momentum. You’ll lead day-to-day client relationships and steer integrated programs across earned media, content, and social. The ideal candidate is a strong operator and storyteller with 4-7 years in an agency or similarly fast-paced environment, ready to own accounts, coach teams, and deliver results.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as primary point of contact and lead for 4-5 accounts; manage team, profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Translate client goals into clear strategies, briefs, and integrated plans (earned, social, content, partnerships).
- Own scope implementation, timelines, and resourcing; ensure deliverables are met on time and with high quality.
- Track budgets, forecasts, and utilization; drive account profitability and growth.
- Maintain live status docs, plans, editorial calendars, and media tracking.
- Lead pitch and messaging development; manage targeted media and influencer outreach.
- Maintain relationships with priority reporters/editors; secure consistent, high-impact coverage; coach the team on media strategies.
- Draft/approve comms plans, briefing docs, and spokesperson prep.
- Oversee development of releases, bylines, blogs, case studies, landing pages, and social campaigns aligned to brand voice and SEO basics.
- Write or edit key pieces; brief creative teams; uphold quality standards across copy and assets.
- Develop paid social/boosting plans; interpret platform analytics to optimize content.
- Lead program reporting; synthesize results into clear insights and recommendations.
- Manage and mentor account team members; set goals, deliver feedback, and grow capabilities.
- Lead brainstorms; instill best practices for pitching, writing, organization, and client service.
- Anticipates risks and remove blockers; escalates issues thoughtfully with recommendations.
- Identify expansion opportunities and shape renewal scopes.
- Contribute to new-business opportunities and agency marketing; participate in prospect and pitch meetings.
- Delivering consistent, on-time programs that yield impact and praise.
- Retaining and renewing core accounts with strong client satisfaction and on-target profitability.
- Securing meaningful media results aligned to strategy.
- Elevating the team’s craft through coaching, clear briefs, and actionable feedback.
- Surfacing smart, data-informed recommendations that drive optimizations and upsells.
