Position Details
Position Title: LEEP Job Coach Adjunct Instructor (Pool)
FLSA: Non-Exempt
FT/PT: Part Time
Hours Per Week: 6 hours per week
Work Schedule: Two days, Monday through Thursday, 1 - 4 pm
Position Salary Range: Starting at $38 per hour
Summary: The Job Coach is one member of a three-person team of instructors in the Life Skills Employment and Education Program (LEEP) at the Howard County Detention Center. The Job Coach works with students to prepare for re-entry and gainful employment.
Essential Role Responsibilities- Coach students to identify the job-related, adaptive, and transferrable skills they possess;
- Assist students in preparing a professional Resume and Cover Letter while building their digital literacy;
- Prepare students in all aspects of a job interview, culminating in a mock interview;
- Provide students with realistic ways to handle difficult questions relating to their incarceration in the most neutral way.
