Multiple Locations Position Summary

Under the direction of the Regional Sports Director, the Martial Instructor teaches all assigned Martial Arts classes within the guidelines of the Association to maintain program quality. The instructor is responsible for creating learning opportunities for specific martial arts programs for ages preschool through adult.

Essential Functions
  • Demonstrate and explain basic martial arts skills taught.
  • Engage learners at the appropriate level for each class.
  • Prepare teaching area with necessary equipment, and store equipment properly after class.
  • Work with individuals and groups within a class structure to correct faults, improve self‑image, and progress abilities.
  • Maintain class attendance records.
  • Follow designated curriculum to ensure basic components are met and progression standards are upheld.
Qualifications Certifications
  • Black Belt or equivalent (strongly preferred)
  • First Aid and CPR certification required within 90 days of employment
  • Experience working with kids
