The University of Maryland
- Center for Translational Engineering and Medicine (CTEM) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions. The CTEM is a new partnership between the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Fischell Department of Bioengineering. The CTEM is a comprehensive effort spanning education, research, and translation. To support these endeavors, additional faculty are being recruited and will be provided laboratory space in the CTEM to establish an interdisciplinary research program, utilizing resources and benefiting from direct engagement with clinical collaborators standing candidates will be considered at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor across all areas of bioengineering.

We seek individuals who have demonstrated the ability to lead a highly innovative research program, ideally with two remaining years of funding. We are interested in PhD, MD, or MD/PhD candidates with a research focus in bioengineering. Rank and tenure status will be dependent on the candidate’s qualifications, which should include a strong record of scholarly activity and funding.

Qualifications

New faculty will be actively mentored to achieve success in an exceptionally collaborative environment comprised of strongly productive research programs, state-of-the-art equipment, and outstanding core facilities. We offer highly competitive salary and recruitment packages.
