Job Overview
The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Johns Hopkins University invites applications for a full‑time tenured or tenure‑track faculty member with a focus on cognitive psychology. The successful candidate will have a cutting‑edge research program in any area of cognitive psychology, broadly construed. Areas of research could include (but are not limited to) perception, concepts, memory, learning, language, action, reasoning, metacognition, social cognition, moral cognition, cognitive development, comparative/animal cognition, and decision‑making.
Candidates may be at the Associate or Full Professor ranks; exceptional Assistant Professor candidates, especially those nearing tenure review, will also be considered.
The department is also conducting open‑rank searches in Cognitive Neuroscience and Behavioral Neuroscience. Candidates conducting primarily human neuroscience research are invited to apply to the Cognitive Neuroscience position. Location& Collaboration
The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences is located on the Homewood Campus of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and maintains close ties and collaborative relationships with the Departments of Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, and Philosophy, as well as the Mind/Brain Institute and the SNF Agora Institute.

QualificationsCandidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience or related field by the start of the position.
Salary & CompensationSalary:
The expected academic base salary range for this position is $110,000‑$144,500 (Assistant Professor level), $131,500‑$201,000 (Associate Professor level), and $156,000‑$316,000 (Full Professor level).
