Description
The University of Maryland School of Dentistry is conducting a search for a full‑time non‑tenure clinical faculty member in the Division of Oral Radiology within the Department of Oncology & Diagnostic Sciences. The department has a strong pre‑doctoral radiology curriculum, a commitment to continuing dental education, an active faculty practice and collaboration with the School of Dentistry clinics and departments. Major responsibilities will include oversight of pre‑doctoral didactic and clinical teaching, participation in the post‑graduate academic activities, scholarly activity, and service.
In addition, radiographic interpretation and consultation in the UMSOD Faculty Dental Practice is expected.
- Candidate must possess a DDS/DMD degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school or an equivalent degree and be eligible for a Dental License in Maryland.
- Completion of a CODA accredited residency training program in oral and maxillofacial radiology with American Board certification or eligibility is required.
- A record of scholarly achievement and 3‑5 years of experience teaching and mentoring in a dental school setting is preferred.
- A Master’s degree is preferred.
