The Department of Chemistry at Johns Hopkins University ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) invites applications from outstanding candidates for a tenured position in the area broadly defined as computational/theoretical chemistry. We anticipate a start date between July 1, 2026 and July 1, 2027.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field and have an established, externally funded, and internationally recognized research program along with demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a brief description of research plans, and a statement of teaching interests and philosophy through Interfolio at  Review of materials will begin March 1, 2026 and will continue until the appointment is finalized. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
