Structural Design Technician

Base pay range

$61,100.00/yr - $84,000.00/yr

Jacobs is building structures that transform our world. We’re looking for a driven and curious Structural Design Technician to provide leadership and support our Built Environment team. The role is available at any location in the United States, ideal for candidates near a Jacobs U.S. office.

• Develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate designs across disciplines, including existing conditions.
• Convey structural requirements to the construction team through 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models.
• Provide leadership for a small project, establishing project standards, procedures, training, and team morale.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field.
• At least 1 year of Revit experience.
• At least 3 years of AutoCAD design experience.

• At least 2 years of Revit experience.
• Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Experience leading a team of designers.
• Experience with healthcare, institutional, or commercial buildings.
• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
