Overview
Mechanical Construction Administration Specialist at Swanson Rink. You will work as an extension of the mechanical design team on exciting, fast-paced projects with high-profile clients. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Senior Engineers to ensure projects are constructed as designed.

YourJob Responsibilities
- Work with Project Managers and engineering discipline leads to track and close out all construction-related submittals and RFIs.
- Act as liaison between contractor and design team during construction administration to address questions about design and field conditions prior to memorializing into RFIs.
- Review contractor RFIs related to mechanical and plumbing design elements.
- Review contractor submittals related to mechanical and plumbing elements, comparing against design standards.
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, codes, regulations, plans, details, and specifications. Ability to author reports and business correspondence.
- Conduct site visits based on project progress; observe work in progress and issue reports to Contractor and Project Team on progress, schedule compliance, and deviations.
- Participate in commissioning planning as needed.
- Peer review design documents, schematics, and specification sheets as part of QA/QC for upcoming projects.
- Evaluate the Construction Administration process and implement improvements for project consistency, close-out procedures, technology, and QA/QC.
- Assist in mentoring junior staff in Construction Administration best practices and foster strong team relationships.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in Design Engineering or Construction; experience with Mechanical and Plumbing disciplines. Construction experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
- Experience with hyperscale data center construction projects is a plus.
- Ability to travel approximately 25%.
- Ability to pass background checks, security screenings, or drug testing as required by clients and/or Federal contracts.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
